OBS Quick Start Guide

Setting up OBS

💡 OBS Studio is a free, open-source, cross-platform screencasting and streaming application. Available for: Windows, macOS, and Linux Download here: https://obsproject.com/download

To start streaming in OBS Studio:

  1. Open File → Settings → Stream

  2. In the Service dropdown, select "Custom"

  3. Set Server to: rtmps://cf.stream.mvs.wtf:443/live


Actions in Blum Memepad

  1. Open your token page (Only the token creator can start a live stream)

  2. Click the "Start Live Stream" button

  1. Copy your streaming key

  1. Paste it into the Stream Key field in OBS

  1. Click Apply to save

  2. Your live stream is now active!


Customize and Create a Scene

Before broadcasting, configure what will be shown to your audience. OBS allows you to display:

  • Full screen or a specific window

  • Video files

  • Webcam

  • External capture devices

  • And more

These elements are called sources in OBS:

You can combine multiple sources into scenes for easy control.

Once ready, click Start Streaming.


Check Encoding Settings

  • Protocol: RTMP

  • Video Codec: H.264

  • Profile: Baseline

  • Bitrate Recommendations:

    • 1920x1080 → 4000–8000 kbps (max 30 fps)

    • 1280x720 → 2000–4000 kbps (max 30 fps)

    • 854x480 → 1000–2000 kbps (max 30 fps)

    • 640x360 → 500–1500 kbps (max 30 fps)

  • Video Encoding: CBR

  • Framerate: up to 60 fps

  • Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds

  • Audio Codec: AAC

  • Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz

  • Audio Bitrate Recommendations:

    • 128 kbps for 1080p & 720p

    • 64 kbps for 480p & 360p

Advanced Settings:

  • Pixel Aspect Ratio: Square

  • Frame Type: Progressive scan

  • B-frames: 2

  • Reference Frame: 1

  • Entropy Coding: CABAC


Start Guide for Mobile Devices

You can also stream from your phone using apps like PRISM Live Studio or Streamlabs.


PRISM Live Studio

  1. Download PRISM from:

    • Google Play

    • App Store

  1. Log in using an existing account or email

  1. On the main screen, tap "Ready"

  • Then choose "Custom RTMP"

  1. Prepare your stream key:

    • Open your token page in Memepad

    • Press "Start Live Stream"

  • Copy your stream key

  1. In PRISM:

  • Stream URL: rtmps://cf.stream.mvs.wtf:443/live

  • Stream Key: paste the copied key

  • Tap Save

  1. A preview screen will appear

  • Hold your phone in landscape mode for best results

  1. Tap Go Live A red countdown indicates your stream is live

  1. Check the stream on your token page


Streamlabs

  1. Download Streamlabs:

    • Google Play

    • App Store

  1. Install and open the app

  2. On the initial screen, either:

    • Choose what you want to stream

    • Or tap Skip

  1. Tap "GO LIVE"

  • Then tap "Setup" to start RTMP configuration

  1. Enter your broadcast info:

  • Name your broadcast template

  • Stream URL: rtmps://cf.stream.mvs.wtf:443/live

  • Stream Key: copy from Memepad

  1. Save your settings

  2. Go to the camera screen and tap GO LIVE

  3. Select your saved RTMP setup and tap Next

  1. Landscape mode is recommended

  2. When the red countdown and FPS indicators appear — you’re live!

  1. Check the stream from your token page (Some delay may occur)

1. Safety

1.1 Self-Destructive Behavior: Content promoting or glorifying self-harm is prohibited — even if done as a joke or stunt. 1.2 Terrorism & Violent Extremism: No promotion or depiction of terrorism or extremist violence. 1.3 Firearms: No content offering firearms, accessories, instructions, or demonstrations. 1.4 Adult Sexual Violence: Strictly prohibited. 1.5 Youth Safety: No CSAM, exploitation, grooming, or sexual misconduct involving minors. 1.6 Private Info Sharing: Do not share others’ private or sensitive data without consent. 1.7 War Content: No explicit war footage, graphic violence, or militaristic propaganda. 1.8 Gambling: No promotion of gambling or betting platforms, including affiliate links or livestreams. 1.9 False Information: No content spreading harmful, misleading, or unverified claims.


2. Civility and Respect

2.1 Hateful Conduct: No content promoting hate or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, etc. 2.2 Harassment: No bullying, personal attacks, or coordinated harassment. 2.3 Sexual Harassment: Prohibited in all forms — including unwanted comments, objectification, and non-consensual media.


3. Illegal Activity

3.1 Breaking the Law: Any illegal behavior or content is forbidden. 3.2 Copyright Infringement: Do not stream or share pirated or unauthorized content. 3.3 Drugs & Substance Abuse: No content promoting or showing use/sale of illegal substances.


4. Sensitive Content

4.1 Extreme Violence & Gore: Prohibited, especially if focused on death, mutilation, or blood. 4.2 Sexual Content: Pornography or sexually explicit content is not allowed in any form. 4.3 Adult Nudity: No nudity — even if censored. Pixelation or transparent clothing does not exempt the content.
